Disneyland Park, France
In the town of Marne-la-Valais, which is 32 km east of Paris, there is one of the most famous amusement parks in the world and the most visited in Europe, Disneyland. In addition to the amusement park and attractions of Disneyland Park, there is also the amusement park Disney Village, Walt Disney Studios Park, residential and business districts, a complex of hotels and the Golf Course Disneyland.
For children of school age in Disneyland, excursions to the shooting area (Production Courtyard) are provided, where they can look behind the scenes of this magical “dream factory”.
Opening hours: Disneyland Park is open daily in the summer from 10:00 to 23:00. From September to May, the Disneyland opening hours are until 8:30 pm. Walt Disney Studios Park Studios are open daily from 10:00 to 19:00 in the summer, from September to May – until 18:00, but it’s better to check the closure hours of this entertainment complex on the day of the visit.
Getting there: You can get to Disneyland from Paris from Marne-la-Valais / Chessie station on the RER suburban trains (line A). The road to the park takes 35 minutes. There is a bus service between the RER station, Disneyland hotels and the amusement park. If you decide to get to the park by private car, you can also get to Disneyland via the A4 motorway.
Ticket: There are several types of entrance tickets to Disneyland. You can purchase a ticket for 1 day in 1 park, for 1 day in 2 parks or a subscription for a multiple visit to 2 parks within 5 days. There is also a special fastpass, which shows the time period in which you can get to the attraction without waiting in the general queue. The cost of a ticket to Disneyland is from 39 euros.
The amusement park Europa-Park, which is located in Baden-Württemberg in the south-west of Germany, ranks second in the ranking of European amusement parks after Disneyland Paris. In 11 thematic parts of the park on an area of 65 hectares there are various attractions, made in the form of miniature copies of European states: France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Great Britain, Spain, Greece, and Scandinavian countries.
Hours: Europa-Park in Germany is open daily from March 23 to November 3 from 9:00 to 18:00. In high season (period from July 25 to September 7) – until 19:30. From November 23 to January 6, the complex is open every day from 11:00 to 19:00.
Getting there: At Europa-Park, you can get on a company bus from Baden-Baden / Baden Karlsruhe Airport (the journey takes about 45 minutes). You can also drive from the airport in Basel (about 60 minutes). Reservation must be made within 72 hours.
Ticket: Entrance to the park is free for children under 4 years old and for birthday people under 12 years old. For children from 4 to 11 years old, a ticket to Europa-Park in winter costs 28.50 euros, in the summer – 34 euros. For adults – 33 and 39 euros, respectively.
In Denmark, in the homeland of Lego, the very first and largest Legoland in the world is located. This amusement park has been operating since 1968. All the attractions – water park, roller coaster and even a cable car are almost entirely assembled from the Lego children’s designer. For all the “buildings” creators spent more than 46 million Lego cubes of different sizes. The park covers approximately 100 thousand square meters. The whole park zone of the famous Danish Legoland is divided into 8 thematic sections, each of which is designed for children of a certain age.
Opening hours: Legoland is open daily from March 23 to October 27. Park visits are available from 10:00 until 21:00 in the summer, and until 18:00 in the spring and autumn. 2-3 hours before the closure of the main gate of the park, the functioning of the attractions stops.
Getting there: The park is located in Denmark, in a small town called Billund, which is located in the heart of the Jutland Peninsula. You can get to the stop in front of the Legoland hotel by buses from Copenhagen (3.4 hours) and Billund (15 minutes).
Ticket: The cost of a ticket to Legoland for children from 3 to 12 years old is 279 Danish kroner (about 37 euros). The total ticket price for adults (from 13 to 64 years old) is 299 DKK (40 euro). If you book tickets online in advance, you will receive a 25% discount.
